Well I am mostly Pve my advice on nuking is this. 1. It doesn't suit everywhere, 2. It involves timing , wait till all enemies are on tank or most of them then drop your nuke, 3. use a fast cast set as quantity is very important yes size does matter . Here is my build and all that

I'm looking for a good build for a necro/monk.
but no elite skills in it!! And I prefer the blood type. =]

Golden fox strike,wild strike,death blosom , mobieus strike,critical agility, mystic regen, critical eye.

Basically it is split in two parts, 1st part is anti-melee, 2nd part anti-casters.
I use virulence, as an nice elite skill which spreads disease. In case if I am fighting humans, disese can spread back on my team, in which case my monk has extinguish.

PainInverter is cool PvE only skill, just like Cry of Pain and Necrosis. Please note that Frustration + Cry of Pain combination damages with 100 dmg every foe in the area, and that is armor ignoring damage. If 8 foes - that is 8 x 100 armor ignoring damage. No, monk can handle that :-) But I must be honest, I learned that combo from Barfun

This is my current build. Works basically everywhere, but you have to know what you're facing.
Use Mindbender -> Hexer's Vigor just before aggroing a group followed by Reckless Haste -> Spiteful Spirit -> Pain Inverter. Mindbender makes your hexes and other skills cast twice as quick while Hexer's Vigor gives you some regeneration while casting the hexes. Nuke with Necrosis and get nrg and heals with Signet of Lost Souls. Res your teammates with Flesh of My Flesh. Have fun all
